Copy invoices – easier than before

You can copy invoices using Margn very easilly. Depending on the needs, Margn has two options for copying invoices: by copying rows and copying invoice.

The most common way for copying invoices is to search for an old invoice and press the “Copy” button. Margn can do the same. Go to outgoing or incoming invoices, select invoice and press the copy button. By copying invoice, Margn sets the same invoice data to new invoice, except invoice number which gets the next number (in sales invoices) or is blank.

The second option for copying invoices is to use pro forma invoices module. But how are they connected? They aren’t, but pro forma functionalities make it possible to still use them. For example if non-profit sport facility needs to send monthly fees to their members, they actually send an invoice to all members where is only one row which is usually the same in every month. In pro forma module you can insert these one rows and very easylly save all those invoices.

How does it work? If every row is inserted to pro forma module, save the data. Then Margn creates those pro forma rows. Now you can press “Create all invoices” which means that it creates all invoices for those pro forma rows that are in the current table. But remember that Margn checks for all pro forma rows for one customer and makes one invoice for this.

Following pictures describe the whole process:

1. Open pro forma module.

2. After inserting data, save before creating invoices.

3. Now you can see those invoices in outgoing invoices module. And if you need to send them to your customer, press email.
